From Burnout to Breakthrough: My 2-Year Hiatus from the Online World

Are you ready for a story of ups and downs, twists and turns, and ultimately, finding my passion again? Buckle up, because I'm about to take you on a journey through my 2-year hiatus from the online world. Spoiler alert: it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. 🌧️😅
Here we goooo....
Picture this: two years ago, I felt like I was on top of the world. I had a successful coaching business teaching feminine business and intuitive brand strategy. I had incredible clients, worked on my own schedule, and was making a meaningful impact in the lives of others. I even reached milestones like "10K months" and automatic course sales in my sleep! 🎉
But at a certain point, I began to push too hard and fell back into old patterns of hustle and force. There was an underlying feeling of burnout and exhaustion. 😫
I ignored it at first because I preached running a business from a space of pleasure, flow, ease, and alignment (and I didn’t want to admit to myself or my audience that I was feeling “off”).
But soon enough, I couldn't ignore it any longer. I got sick and was forced to rest. I saw that things just couldn't go on like this.
I was drained and lost all passion. I didn't want more one-on-one clients. I just craved deeeeeeeeep rest and simplicity.
I took a step back and realized how overwhelmed I felt "doing it all" (being a solopreneur is TOUGH. It’s not always easy.)
I got real with myself and asked "What about your business do you LOVE right now? What brings you the most JOY?"
The only answer that came back from my heart 💗was "writing" — which definitely felt scary to hear because it meant letting go of so much I had built.
With this clarity, I needed to "figure out" how to transition my income from primarily 1:1 coaching to writing, so I opened myself up to the possibility of getting a part-time job to feel safe and secure in my nervous system.
I told an entrepreneurial friend that I only wanted to write, and she said her company was hiring a copywriter.💡
At first, I was hesitant because I had never written copy for someone else, but I took some time to feel into it and it felt like a YES.
So I stepped out of my comfort zone, applied, and had an interview with their Head of Marketing, and it was the PERFECT fit!
I've been with that same company now for almost 2 years. And in that time, it's opened up so many opportunities. I’ve also become SO much more confident in my writing and marketing skills.
Before I knew it, I had worked with multi-million dollar brands through word of mouth and my portfolio included BIG names in the coaching, wellness, and personal development space.
It blew my mind how quickly the Universe provided when I took aligned action and followed my bliss! 🤯
Now here I am again, poppin’ onto my blog and reigniting my own personal brand — I’ve felt the call to begin sharing what I've learned over the last 2 years.
The truth is, I miss having a brand of my own to express myself and be of service to more people. Taking time off was exactly what I needed, and I feel recharged and alive again.
So if you decide to stick around, you can expect to learn more about building an authentic brand and attracting your dream clients through magnetic messaging and content.
But most importantly, you'll have someone in your corner cheering you on and reminding you that anything is possible when you follow your heart and take inspired action!
